ABOUT MTW
More Than Words is an indie bookshop (+ more!) coming to Moorhead, MN, in Winter 2023.
While we're setting up shop, you can support us by buying a book or gift online.
Happy browsing and happy reading!

More Than Words is an indie bookshop and so much more. A cozy place where all are welcome to read, write, and consider.
We're proud to be a woman-owned small business—founded by Fargo-Moorhead native Sydni Kreps.
We're a community space for readers—both avid and soon-to-be—where you can browse the shelves and mull over the unexpected.
A space where you can connect with a neighbor to talk books and big ideas.
An opportunity to quench your thirst and have a snack while you chew over what it means to be more than words.
The name More Than Words comes from a phrase that our founder Sydni's dad, Mark, often used when he was experiencing moments so profound that he was at a loss for words.
Although they're literally full of words, books often give us experiences like this too.
Books are more than words.
Our logo and the sign above our door is written in Mark's handwriting. He was an enthusiastic storyteller and left many feeling at a loss for words when he shared them. We're so thankful that he did.
Mark knew to cherish those stories, people, and moments that feel...well, more than words. Now, Sydni knows this too. And we hope you do!
More Than Words is located at 40 N 4th St Moorhead, MN 56560. We're the east unit in the North Center Mall, which is located immediately north of the Moorhead Center Mall.
